Women spend almost twice as much time as men on unpaid housework OECD countries. This is why the Council of Europe has decided to act by adopting a Recommendation to prevent and combat sexism. Sexism affects mostly women. The harmful impact of sexism can be worse for some women and men due to their ethnicity, age, disability, social origin, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation or other factors. Some groups of women, for example young women, politicians, journalists or public figures, are particular targets of sexism.

The Ethics of the Female Nude

The End of Men - The Atlantic

I have noticed that perceptions of sex and nudity in Iceland are a bit odd to some people. So I went out last night with a group of friends and was talking to an English friend of mine that suggested I should write a blog about how open Icelandic people are about sex. This said friend has been to Iceland a couple of times as well as pretty much everywhere else in the world and he was amused when he was there with myself and my Icelandic female friend and we had a conversation, in English so that he could understand, detailing our sex-lives. For me, being Icelandic and female, this is perfectly normal. And because the nation has such an equal approach to men and women this is considered completely normal. Women can do whatever men can do.

The End of Men

Sexual attitudes and behaviors in ancient Rome are indicated by art , literature and inscriptions , and to a lesser extent by archaeological remains such as erotic artifacts and architecture. It has sometimes been assumed that "unlimited sexual license" was characteristic of ancient Rome. In the popular imagination and culture, it is synonymous with sexual license and abuse. But sexuality was not excluded as a concern of the mos maiorum , the traditional social norms that affected public, private, and military life.
Sexual objectification is the act of treating a person solely as an object of sexual desire. Objectification more broadly means treating a person as a commodity or an object without regard to their personality or dignity. Objectification is most commonly examined at the level of a society, but can also refer to the behavior of individuals and is a type of dehumanization. Although both males and females can be sexually objectified, the concept is mainly associated with the objectification of women , and is an important idea in many feminist theories and psychological theories derived from them.
